Unless you are an authorized technician, It is not something you should do. The headliner must be dropped and given access to the motor and transmission assembly near the rear of the sunroof near the dome light. Please don't attempt. You will likely do more damage and still need a technician to re-time it.
The cost to repair your 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass sunroof is dependent upon the condition of the sunroof. It will cost approximately $700 to completely replace the sunroof.
From everything I've read you will either turn the car off and hold the open or close button (try them both separately on different tries) while starting the car and waiting around ten second and you should hear a noise indicating the reset. This didn't work for my wife's car. On the Cadillac website it said that if your battery has died and you have charged it simply unhook your battery ( I left mine unhooked for approx one minute) and hooked it back up and it worked. Hope this helps
Yes it will i had a gytr 660r and put a raptor 700 motor on it

There is a motor in between your legs!
you can try but the truth is that is not going to last more than a month or two, a new motor or a strong motor from the salvage yard is the best way, you should be ok with the motor for your 95, only the 99 models have 2 choice of model depending on the las 8 vin numbers on the car, one motor has gold looks to it the other silver. And oh...lol try to do all this job your self cause over 700 dollars for the fix at the shops, take the liner of half way at front and you should get to it just fine, take it out then put it in, is that simple is no brainer, make sure it works before reseting the overhead liner. aigh man, peace
