yes most lights have cereal numbers/inside the lights. This is how the manufactures identify the parts of a car. Can you imagine how funny a car would look with the wrong headlights. All parts on a car/truck have numbers that identify them. So if one part gets smashed in a accident they can fix it alrighty. Hope your headlights are fixed and working.
To help get the shine back I would recommended taking your car into a garage or car repair shop. For example, Kwik Fit will look at them and tell you how much it will cost to fix or how you can do it yourself.

If it's a green corroded pipe then it's old copper. -You can't fix it. Replace all the length of corroded pipe with PEX and a union at each end
