1) open your trunk
2) Where your harness straps into the black pegs, those black pegs unscrew if you twist them, they should be directly behind the tail light. The light bulb socket can be accessed if you move the trunk wall lining.
3) Twist out socket, change bulb and twist back in, replace the lining and screw that back in with the black peg
Replace it with a new one.
In order to fix a tail light in a Kia Rio Cinco you must first locate the tail light. Then, undo the tail light and replace it with the new materials and put the cover back on.
Shoukld be the fuse for parking/tail, and dash lights
You replace the light bulb...there must be a shortage in the circuit because of a bulb being blown out...
I'm thinking that one or more contact points in the thing that holds the bulb has either been burnt, or rusted out, or rotten. Maybe a new tail light assembly for the bulb that isn't working may fix the problem. Happened on my dads 2000 chevy. Water likes to make it's way into the light holder things. Tail light compartment thing. I dunno what's they are called. other then just tail light meh. I'm sry yabber yabber :)
check the bulb, it has two filaments, one for tail light, another for brake light and indicator. if the turn signal works, it's not the bulb, but a power supply problem.
It could be the fuse that also controls your dash lights. It is a 15 amp fuse in the box under the hood labeled "small lights".
Open the trunk. Access to the tail lights is from there.
This is because the tail light bulb has a different element in the bulb. Just replace the bulb and that will fix the problem.
