The Mitsubishi electrical component you speak of (MD 113566) is labeled "ALT Relay" on the electrical box lid in the engine compartment, but it is actually a one-way conductive, transient suppression protection device (basically a surge protector). The component is installed to protect the ECU from voltage spikes induced on connected wires. The device operates by shunting excess current when the over load voltage of 0-24Vdc, Current 0.5A, time 0.5h is exceeded. It is a clamping device, suppressing all over-voltages above its breakdown voltage. It automatically resets when the overvoltage goes away, but absorbs much of the transient energy (coil dissipation of3W). It can be tested by checking the insulation resistance of 20M(ohms) between terminals 1, 2, 3 and 4. It has a Dielectric withstanding voltage of (RMS/50Hz) 550Vr.m.s between terminal 1, 2, 3 and 4. The rated switching voltage is 12VDC and rated load current is 0.25A. Additionally it's vibration is 17-200hz, 0.35mm. The terminals are
1. Bottom left (below the copper colored one)
2. Bottom Right (short one(cut flush))
3. Top left (copper one)
4. Top Right (has 1/16th inch split in middle)
A wiring diagram would go from terminal 1 and then a switch between terminal 1 and 2, then to terminal 2 then to a resistor then to terminal 3. Terminal 4 is not directly wired in it is the "lightning rod" (for lack of a better explanation)
P.S. I am not a relay wiz kid, this is from information that I found around the NET and wanted to share for future seakers, so .... add disclamer here ()
Mitsu part # MD113566 is a relay for the Mitsubishi charging system (alternator relay).
please check interior fuse panel, dont check fuse panel in the engine room. Check fuse number 6 or 7, the fuse maybe broken
check the other fuse.
Check the fuse.Check the fuse.
Check the fuse in the under hood fuse box labeled IOD.Check the fuse in the under hood fuse box labeled IOD.
Check the fuse box 1st. I justed changed the fuse for a 2000 Neon. It was a 20A fuse. Check the driver side door panel. Have the driver door open and look at the fuse panel. Check fuse and bring the fuse into the store and find th replacement. Worked fine afterward.
If the fuse is working, then check the bulbs.
Check for a blown fuse
Check bulbs Check fuse Check stop light switch check the fuse.
check for blown fuse. Or check and see if fuse is in all the way.
Yes there is a fuse for your brake lights. Check your fuse box. It should be marked. If the fuse is ok then check the switch. It could be a bad switch or ground.
there is a specific RADIO fuse to check, but also check the the BODY fuse for radio clock operation and dial light operation there is a RADIO fuse to test, but also check the BODY fuse. It controls the radio dial lamps, and clock operation.
