Set a multimeter to continuity. Put the leads of the meter at either end of the wire you are checking. The lower the value the better. It should read well under 100 for a battery cable.

1992 buick park ave ultra has tick noise when trying to start and will not start?

Possibilities: * Low or dead battery which can mean that you left the lights on, have a faulty battery or a faulty charging system. * Poor electrical connection between the battery and the battery cable. * Poor electrical connection between the battery cable and the starter. * Some other condition which can reduce the current to the starter.

1993 Acura Vigor It will not start when you turn the key you hear a click but it does not start this all started after you got your battery terminals cleaned and it cannot be jump started?

If a jump start will not start it then it is not the battery. You either have a short in the battery cable connection to the battery or the engine/starter or you have a bad starter. Test for a short in battery, battery Cables or connection. Trace where the positive battery cable connects to usually an electrical box on the inside of the engine compartment and put the positive jumper cable there while putting the negative jumper cable on a metal part of the engine (you are by-passing the battery and the battery cables completely). If it does not start now then you have a bad starter.

How do you fix a broken electrical connection on a battery cable?

depends on the connection. if it's a small wire alot of times you can just use a crimp on wiring end, make sure after you crimp it to fill the crimped area with super glue, that will keep it from corroding. if it's one of the main cables you can get crimp on ends, but i have found it is better to solder them on.
