Unfortunately, if you need to get it changed, then suggest to go to a place where they weld and put on mufflers.
But make sure they put the heat shields on the new one from the old one. Also, when you get home, then wait for the engine to cool. Then later, say the next day start the engine and put it in park. Go the passengers side and inspect the converter. Put your hand where they welded it, so make sure it is a GOOD weld and no air escaping.
Also, if you find a shop, check their prices for the convertors and check the other auto stores too.

The four cylinder model has one catalytic converter.
It has 3 .
My 2003 model has 4 sensors. Two are before the catalytic converters and two more after the cat converters..
Look under the vehicle and count them.
1 on a 6cly. 2 on a v8
Crawl under the vehicle and count them.
One. If the van has dual exhaust, then two.
If the converter is defective there is no alternative. You must replace it.
Just look under the vehicle and count them and you will have your answer.
Walk outside get down look under the vehicle and count them.
2 is one in left side one on the right ,have 4 oxygen sensor 2 on each side on the catalytic
