Make sure the pump reservoir is at the proper level. Start the engine and allow the fluid to warm up for a few seconds. Now turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right, stop to stop. Keep doing this until the pump noise goes away. It may take doing this 15-20 times. Drive the car a few miles and repeat the procedure if you still hear air in the system.
