The short abswer is it is not simply adjustable. This is a very complicated process and question to answer without pictures and special tools. It is adjusted initially when a new timing belt is installed and self adjusts after that. You need to have the timing marks all ligned up a certain way,you need special tools and a new adjuster along with a new belt. If you are asking because your belt is loose, you better replace it soon. Should be done every 60K miles. It can cost close to $800 to have it done and or take you better part of two days to do the first one yourself. IMPORTANT You have an interference engine. This means if that when your belt brakes, your pistons hit the valves and your up the proverbial *%*@'s creak without the paddle. If you look on the sides of the cams and the puleys that involve the timing belt you should see little white dots. that indicates the marks.
