The fuel pump may be defective or the fuel filter may be clogged. Replace the fuel filter if you hear the pump run when you first turn on the ignition without starting the engine. It should run for a few seconds. If you do not hear the pump running, check the fuse and the fuel pump relay. If you hear it run and after replacing the fuel filter you still have no fuel, the pump is defective and must be replaced.
Check the fuses.
Have you looked at the timing belt?
Check your fuel pressure regulater. If it is jammed you won't get fuel to the injecters.
u will have to bleed it how it is done is by the fuel pump or the injecters loosin the pipe going to injecters and spin the moter over until all the air is out of the system and u get pure fuel tighten the pipe or pipes and it will start
You didn't say if the fuel pump runs. If you turn the key to the 'on', not 'start', position after being 'off' for a minute, you should hear the fuel pump (in the tank) hum/prime for a few seconds and then shut off. This lets you know that your fuel pump is working and the fuel pump relay is at least partially working. If you don't hear the fuel pump run - check the fuel pump fuse, the fuel pump relay and the fuel pump. If you can hear the fuel pump run - If you hit 'start', and the engine runs for a few seconds, then dies, check the fuel pump relay (usually under a plastic cover under the hood at the firewall), the oil pressure switch (mounted on an extended pipe fitting extending up from the back of the block just under the distibutor), and the fuel filter. If the engine does not fire at all, check the injector fuses.
When fuel is not coming out.
The pump is in the tank and the regulator is near the throttle body in the rail. GM has had many fuel pump problems with your model so I would suggest you focus on the fuel pump. I hope this helps you. New answer; He's right on the pump. But the regulator is mounted on the throttle body behind the injecters up on top.
Blown fuel pump fuse, bad fuel pump relay, or the fuel pump itself has failed.
Yes it does. Anything after 1987 uses fuel injectors.
sounds like you have a bad cam position sensor,a clogged fuel filter,or a bad fuel pump sounds like you have a bad cam position sensor,a clogged fuel filter,or a bad fuel pump
Clogged fuel filter or the pump is defective even though it is running. It may be running but not pumping any fuel.
fuel sending unit my van did the same thing changed the fuel filter ,pump, rotor.cap, spark plugs clean fuel injecters then changed fuel sending unit and it worked ...
