You need to replace the manifold and use Felpro Gaskets.
It is the Intake Manifold Gaskets FYIilikebananas
the knock sensors (there are 2 of them) are located under the intake manifold on the 5.3 engine,,,,,requires complete removal of manifold to replace.
The oil leak is coming from the valve cover gasket and leaking onto the exhaust manifold, the rubber valve cover gaskets get hard from the engine heat and start to leak, you will have to replace the rubber valve cover gaskets to stop the oil leak
Head gaskets do not go bad on these. You need to replace the plastic upper intake manifold as it is leaking coolant into the combustion chamber. Common problem for this engine.
The year, engine size and if it is the intake manifold or an exhaust manifold gaskets would help.
NO. That stuff will cause you more problems. You MUST replace the intake gaskets are you will wind up loosing the whole engine. OIL and engine coolant DON'T MIX.
if the miles on the engine aren't too high, then just replace the head gaskets. if the whole engine is tired go ahead and swap out the motor. its a lot cheaper to do the gaskets then to buy a new motor.
replace intake manifold gaskets, if gaskets have been replaced and intake has been clean oil and plugs have been changed then your problem most likely would be the timing.timing the distibutor on a vortex engine sometimes can be tricky.
You have to be more specific. What part are you working on?
Taje off the plastic cover with the Cadillac emblem that sits on top of the engine. Take out the intake maniforld to get to the sarter engine. Put in the starter replacement and when reassembling the manifold use new gaskets. Put back the cover on top of the manifold. It's a rather simple job, but be sure to use new gaskets annd do not overtichten (instructions can be found by Googe-ing the Internet). LM
how many gaskets and which ones are needed when you replace the knock sensor on a Nissan frontier w/a 3.3l v6 engine?
