The blower is behind the glove box. Remove the glove box door, and there it is. Some small sockets will be in need. It will come out if you wiggle it around.
Hard to open a glove box that doesn't exist. because the mk3 jetta doesn't come with a glove box.

I am having trouble getting glove box out of 98 F150. I need a more detailed explanation of which screws need to be removed and their location.
Behind lower glove box. You need to drop the lower glove box to replace.
It is behind the glove box, so you will need to take off the glove box and you will see it.
Assuming it's the same as a 94 C1500, Open the glove-box, remove the screws across the top and bottom, remove the cables that support the glove-box door, remove the glove box door, remove the glove box compartment. I have a 95 K1500, you just have to squeeze the top of the glove box, clear the mount and then remove the plastic strap on the left side, and then open the glove box fully it just fall down, no need to unscrew anything.
