∙ 11y agoNo, not as long as you observe the firing order so each one goes to the right cylinder. It's usually easier to start with 1 and follow that order. Of course rotor position in relation to the engine is important if disturbed. On a v small block, usually the wires are paired off by length-2 longest for cylinders farthest from distrib, shortest closest, etc.

∙ 11y agoYes, if the spark plug wires can be connected to the distributor and works.
try replacing your distributor, distributor cap, rotor, and maybe the spark plug wires.
Check/replace Rotor Check for spark at plugs
Bad distributor or rotor or bad spark plug wires would be my first culprits.
Start with distributor cap/rotor, spark plugs and spark plug wires.
Distributor
It is in the very back of the engine. Just follow the spark plug wires from the spark plugs and they will go to the top of the Distributor. That will be the distributor cap that the wires are in.
it has to be the distributor cap or rotor or wires...plug wires.
Check the distributor and spark plug wires.
To much resistance in the spark plug wires. Start fresh with a new distributor cap, rotor and spark plug wires. Also be sure you have the correct spark plugs installed.
No it is probably ur spark plugs or spark plug wires, that electric distributor or coil No it is probably ur spark plugs or spark plug wires, that electric distributor or coil
All of the spark plug wires go to the distributor. Just follow the wires and you will see the distributor.
