It is ok to use a fuse with a higher amperage rating and not ok to use a fuse with a smaller amperage rating why?
The amperage of a T2L 250v fuse is typically 8 amps. It is a misconception that it has an amperage of 3.
Usually if a seat motor is causing the fuse to blow then the motor is going bad. It could be using more amperage than it is designed to use. This will cause the fuse to blow. DO NOT be tempted to put in a bigger fuse. This can cause a fire. Good luck.
Blown fuse or defective fuel pump relay.
Due to a over or underloaded system, ensure that the correct rated fuse is installed, over or under amperage can cause a fuse to be blown.
There are only two things which cause fuses to "pop," or blow. 1. Electrical current flow [amps] in the circuit which exceed the amperage value of the fuse. This would be caused by a short circuit to ground, either inside the ecmb, or anywhere in the circuit wiring. 2. Very seldom, a fuse may be defective and simply fail "on its own."j3h.
Blown fuse, defective fuel pump relay, or defective fuel pump.
Blown fuse or defective brake light switch.
defective motor will not run, also cause the blower motor speed resistor to burn out and eventually blow the fuse. a motor with defective bearings will draw excessive current causing either the fuse to blow or cause the motor to overheat
Blown fuse, defective fuel pump relay, clogged fuel filter, or defective fuel pump. Your vehicle is 18 years old, so it is likely the pump is bad.
Defective fuel pump fuse, defective fuel pump relay, loose, corroded, or disconnected wiring. Lastly, the new fuel pump may be defective.
There are several things that could cause is. The fuel pump itself might be defective. It may also be that you have a blown fuel pump fuse or the fuel pump relay is defective. Another possibility is a clogged fuel filter.
