Yes you can use 205 60 r 16 tires in place of 205 50 r 16. They are only slightly higher.

∙ 10y agoYou can but your speedometer will be off. The 205/50-16 has a diameter of 24.1 " and the 205/55-16 has a diameter of 24.9". That is a difference of .8". I suggest you stick with the OEM size. Click the link to see what effect different sizes will have.
NO, rim size is incorrect.
My Diamante does
Yes, you can
Yes you can
no you cannot
I had these on my 2001 Nissan Maxima (20th anniversary ed.)
Lots of vehicles use this size tire. Why would you even ask such a question?
Listed on the driver's door post. 205/70-14
Listed on the driver's door post. Correct size is: 205/65-15 Sedan 205/60-16 Coupe
205 65 15 tires will be narrower but taller than 215 60 15. not reccomended, because it may throw off the speedo. it is a narrower tire and you may suffer on cornering etc. YOUR CHOICE !
NO, the last digits (R15 and R16) refer to the wheel (rim) size. If you change wheels you can install the 16" tires. A much better swap would be to install 205/65-16. The parameters except width will be almost identical to the 205/70-15 tire/wheel combination. Your speedometer will read 59.5 at a true 60 mph.
