It is a nonservicable part, just replace it.
bad knock sensor
Most knock sensors are located in the block on the firewall side. Should be the only sensor with two wires in the block. It will also have a camshaft position sensor as well. Hope that helps. I am not educated on Mazda engines.
Depends on Which Year and Which Engine (2.3 or 2.5) My 99 2.5L has 4 o2 PLUS a knock sensor
Where would the knock sensor be located on a 2004 mazda 6?
29's here i have a 97 Mazda millenia 2.5 and have had the knock sensor replaced. all the Mazda 2.5 motors 95-02 are the same so i can tell you that its located in the center of the engine only accessible from the top of the motor underneath the intake and fuel rails (which have to be removed in order access the sensor). the gasket for the intake can not be reused and must be replaced. this a repair that a standard mechanic should be able to perform. hope this helps. It is underneath the supercharger support bracket on the 2.3L.
air intake hose,accelorator cable,fuel pipes ,pipe,harness,egr valve,intake manifold,bypass pipe,water pipe,and knock senser
most Ive seen and experienced are - TCS Light - Knock Sensor Failure - O2 Sensor Failure(s) - Auto Steering tilt Failure (motor) - ECG Valve failure
29S HERE, ONLY 97 AND 98 MILLENIAS HAVE THE EXACT SAME MOTORS. I HAVE A 97 AND I HAVE REPLACED MY KNOCK SENSOR WHICH IS LOCATED IN THE CENTER OF THE ENGINE BELOW THE INTAKE. IT WILL REQUIRE THE REMOVAL OF THE AIR INTAKE AND NEW INTAKE GASKETS YOU CANNOT REUSE THE OLD ONES.
yes they do.i put 22''s on my Mazda millenia with pirelli tires and it rides great and doesnt knock my rear fenders but i put swaybars and new brakes and shocks that are ajustable
I don't think it has a knock sensor ( I know that the 4.0 liter V6 engine in my 1995 Ford Explorer doesn't have a knock sensor )
