Kitty was Anne's name for her diary, a name she borrowed from one of her favorite books "The High School Years of Joop ter Heul". The book is written as a series of letters form Joop to her friends, and her closest friend is a girl named "Kitty Francken". Anne also had a friend of her own names Kitty Egyedi, but neither researchers - nor Kitty Egyedi herself - believe that Anne meant Kitty Egyedi in her diary - she merely called the diary "Kitty".
Jo Kleiman was one of the people who helped hide Anne Frank and her family during the Holocaust. He worked at Otto Frank's company and played a key role in providing food, supplies, and support to the Frank family while they were in hiding. He also helped preserve Anne's diary after the family was captured.
Jo Kleiman had been a friend and business associate of Otto's since 1923. He ran the day-to-day Opekta part of the business, Mr. Kugler being more caught up with the Pectakon
side of things. Kleiman had a daughter Anne's age, and was sympathetic to her predicament, going out of his way to bring her books from the library that she specifically requested, and things like that.
Jo Kleiman was married his entire adult life to the same woman. I do not know how many children they had, but they had at least one daughter, about Anne's age, named "Jopie".
Miep Gies, Jan Gies, Bep Voskuijl, Jo Kleiman and Victor Kugler
Miep Gies, Johannes Kleiman, Victor Kugler, and Bep Voskuijl were the four employees who helped the Frank family by providing supplies and support while they were in hiding.

Johannes Kleiman died in 1959 from a heart attack. He was known for his efforts in helping to hide Anne Frank and her family during the Holocaust. Kleiman was a close associate of Otto Frank and played a key role in supporting and protecting the Frank family while they were in hiding.
Otto Frank's four employees: Miep Gies, Johannes Kleiman, Victor Kugler and Bep Voskuijl (Miep Gies, Jo Koophuis, Victor Kraler, and Elli Vossen)
he got killed in his office in amstrdam.
Jo Kleiman and his wife had a daughter, Corry, who was the same age as Anne. Cory lived a normal life of school, athletic events, etc. because the Kleimans were not Jewish. Anne, of course, could do none of these things in hiding.

The helpers were: Victor Kugler, Jo Kleiman, Miep Gies, Bep Voskuijl, Jan Gies (husband of Miep), and in the first days in the annex, Johannes Voskuijl, father of Bep. Mention also should be made of van Hoeven, the cooperative greengrocer, and the unnamed butcher who also helped out Miep.
