There are no records of the earliest use of the sewing needle. They have been used since the earliest dawn of human kind. Different cultures through out history have independently discovered the use of the sewing needle.
Hans Christian Oersted, a Danish physicist, discovered in 1820 that an electric current can affect the orientation of a magnetic needle, leading to the discovery of electromagnetism.
Hans Christian Oersted. In 1820, he discovered that an electric current could affect a compass needle.
The discovery that a compass needle always points north is attributed to the Chinese during the Han Dynasty around 206 BC to 220 AD. They found that the magnetic properties of lodestone aligned the needle towards the Earth's magnetic north pole.
Electromagnetism was discovered by Hans Christian Orsted, a danish scientist in 1820. Whilst preparing for a lecture, he noticed that a compass needle could be moved by the electric current in a battery. Hope that helps!! x
A hypotonic needle is a needle that is a non coring needle. A hypertonic needle is a coring needle. Both of these needles are used in IV's with a hypotonic needle used for hypotonic solutions.
Hans Christian Oersted discovered the magnetic field of electric current in 1820. He observed that a compass needle was deflected when placed near a wire carrying an electric current, showing a relationship between electricity and magnetism.
