for me The Host by Stephenie Meyer was hard to get interested at the start of the book but about 60 pages in it gets good.. its about these aliens that take over the human body.. and this one girl was strong enough to over power the alien and managed to stay connected with her mind.... she showed the alien her life and the man she loved... but the alien gaind those feelings of love for this man so she went to find him... its a love triangle between 2 people and 3 minds.....
Stephenie Meyer's book "The Host" is a Science Fiction novel with elements of romance and thriller. It follows the story of a young woman whose body has been taken over by an alien entity in a dystopian future setting.
its about a girl who is almost dead and cant be saved unlless they put an alien parisite. they have to get control over the soul of the girl ...but the girls soul is hard to bare control...so they live together in one body...the girls bf had left her and gave her an image of something for to figure out cause that is were he will be, so the host (girl) and the parisite work to gether to find him and they do... the bf's name is Jared....The girl's name is melaine and the alien parisite's name is wanderer and later named wanda.... she evenualy becomes and her own host that was unable to come bck to the world...so she can be human and love like she did in melaine's body... this kinda sums up the book...i think its a good book i recommend it....i aslo recommended it to my aunt and she loves it
the earth is invaded by a race of little silver aliens who call themselves Souls who fuse themselves to the brains of their human hosts (hence the title "the host") and take over their bodies and their lives. A bit like a timid, gentle version of the yurks from the old kids series "Animorphs". it follows one Soul, wanderer, as she deals with her particularly difficult host, Melanie, who refuses to fade away like most host-minds. the concept sound kinda stupid, explained all short like this, but Meyer is an incredible writer. the characters are believable and relatable, and the plot is beautiful, just the right mix of drama, suspense and romance. I wont give away any more. Buy it and read it, its awesome!
