FRANKFURT
Frankfurt - it is not a capital city
Berlin.
Moscow, New York City, Madrid and Paris lost to London
Im not sure exactly what your looking for but London,Madrid,Paris and Rome are cities in western Europe...
They are held in London because London won the 2012 bid to host the games over Madrid, New York City, Moscow, and Paris.
London was selected as the host city on 6 July 2005 during the 117th IOC Session in Singapore, defeating bids from Moscow, New York City, Madrid and Paris.
This is true because Madrid is the capital of Spain and Paris is the capital of France. It can also work in Madrid being the largest city in Spain and Paris being the largest city in France.
Paris is farther north than Madrid or Berlin
Madrid is to Spain as Paris is to France. The relation is the capitol to the country.
Madrid itself has a population of 3 millions inhabitants (more than Chicago) and Madrid metropolitan area (6,5 millions, same as Houston metropolitan area) is 3rd largest in European Union after London and Paris.
There are lots of them that could be said to be major capital citues. Here are just five: London, Paris, Berlin, Rome and Madrid.
