On a winter night Donald hears that the little girl he knew has gotten lost. Donald searched alleys and streets for seven hours and finally Donald is found by a man in a snow plow. It turns out that the little girl Donald was looking for had been found shortly after she had been lost and everyone had been looking for him. So then when he goes to school and they are picking teams he isn't picked last..
In the ending of "Loser" by Jerry Spinelli, Donald Zinkoff finds happiness and acceptance among his classmates after facing challenges and being misunderstood throughout the story. He learns to embrace his own uniqueness and finds a sense of belonging, showing that true success is not defined by traditional measures of achievement but by being true to oneself.
At the end Zinkoff goes looking for a lost girl but shortly after she got lost she got found. Zinkoff went looking down alleys and street and while he was gone everyone was looking and missing him. When he got back to school he was never picked last again.
