Otto Frank said that his life's task was to bear witness to the sufferings of the Jewish people during the Holocaust, particularly through the diary of his daughter Anne Frank. He dedicated himself to preserving her writings and sharing her story to educate others about the atrocities of that time.
Anne Frank's father, Otto Frank, was the only person living in the annex to survive the war. All the others died in the concentration camps. When Otto Frank returned home, Miep Gies, the woman who hid them and found Anne Frank's diary, gave them to the father. After that, Otto Frank published his daughter's diary to let the world know what Anne had to say and raise awareness about the horrors the Jewish people had to face.

No, neither the van Pels family nor Alfred Dussel survived the Holocaust. They were discovered hiding in the Secret Annex with the Frank family and were sent to concentration camps where they perished.

Otto Frank was very successful. Otto and Edith Frank lived very well off in Germany, but when they left to go to Holland their finances suffered somewhat. Otto's business in Holland did well in the years that they were there, and as far as i know they had sufficient amounts of money to pay for food and other things needed until they were captured. Edith even had her own personal funds.
