Anne Frank suffered like all Jewish people did in Holland when Germany took control of it. When she went into hiding, she was mistreated and known to talk too much. In the second half of 1943, she gain a bit more of respect, as she matured. In 1944, somebody betrayed their location to the Gestapo (German police). She was taken into a camp along with her sister to worked to death. She met Lies, her friend and felt a moment of sorrow. Anne's sister, Margot, died of Typhus. A few days later, she died too of the same disease.
There is no historical evidence to suggest that Anne Frank was tortured during her time in hiding in the Secret Annex in Amsterdam. Anne Frank and her family lived in hiding for over two years during the Holocaust, but there is no record of them being physically tortured. Anne Frank died in a concentration camp in early 1945 from typhus.
