if you want to use your stock head unit to run your subwoofers you can go to any car audio shop and buy a converter that will splice into your rear speakers and convert the signal to use the RCA cables for your amp.
It depends on the specific power-handling capabilities of the subwoofers and their impedance. If the subwoofers have a total power handling capacity that is lower than 300 watts and the amplifier can provide enough power at the required impedance, then it should be able to adequately power the two tens. However, if the subwoofers have a higher power handling capacity or the amplifier cannot provide enough power, it may not be sufficient.
The best place to get subwoofers for a car audio system fitted would be at a mechanic's garage. Or, one could try to learn how to install them on his or her own, as there are many sites that offer tips and advice on how to do this.

All car speakers will go well with a 500 Watt amp, but for the best effect, get a power subwoofer.
With Subwoofers only, you would want to go with only a 1 channel or 2 channel amp, 5 channel amps are designed to power 4 smaller speakers, and 1 subwoofer. Each channel basically refers to a different speaker - if you're using 2 regular left and right Speakers (not Subwoofers), use 2 channel setting, if you have 4 Speakers plus a subwoofer, use 5 channel setting. Make sure subwoofer is tested with the lowest gain/volume.
Most subwoofers are moisture resistant now a days. But if they are going to be around water alot go with a good set of Kenwood KFC-W254MRW 10" Waterproof Subwoofers.
in the ideal situation yes. it doesn't have to be though as long as it's close to the high end of the rms, most of those statements in amp manuals that say that if you don't have more rms than the subs they will cause damage are just there to protect the company. Do NOT go with the max on either the amp and the subs, only use rms. it is good to have more. for instance, my subs max rms is 400, so an amp with rms of 475-500 would be perfect, depending on what kind of enclosure you have them in.
Depends on what your willing to spend.. For two 1200 watt subs I would go with a 1200 watt amp and run both of then 600 watts ( you don't want to always run subs to full power, because the voice coil might blow or you will light your subs on fire). If your feeling brave you can run a 2000 watt amp 0_o that will annoy your neighbours, but make your car bump!
