More than likely your head gasket is bad. Could also be thermostat bad, water pump bad, clogged radiator. Every one with the supra always points to the head gasket. Check your thermostat, Mine was over heating and I replaced it with a low temp thermostat and that worked great. Are yoou losing coolant? check for leaks. Do you notice your water circulating after you turn your car on? If not could be water pump. There are so many other cheaper reasons then just your head gasket. If you are not sure take it to a mechanic, have them look at it. yes it could be your head gasket but why replace that if the solution is a whole lot cheaper.
First of all after 1985 they called it Toyota supra not celica supra totaly different body style and for your answer get a big spatula.
There are many advanced options available on the Toyota Supra. Options such as advanced voice recognition and turbo charged engine, give it an edge over its competition.
try replacing ignition condensor
(No) UMMM do you know anything about cars (whoever said no that is) You can put a v8 in a supra you will probably have to mod something but it is very doable. There was a Japanese Supra drag car that had a Toyota v8 in it putting out over 1500 horsepower.
Anything over 4.5psi at idle and 35psi at 3krpm is in specs... I run 5w30 and at hot idle, around 10psi and around 42psi at 3krpm.... The supra has a high volume/low pressure system... no need for high pressure as the oil system in these cars is VERY effective.
Toyota used both of these maufactures for Supra parts. They are both good but I choose to go with a Walbro Pump for the extra fuel flow over stock FPs and 550 injectors from Venom because the were plug and play no wire cutting.
The Toyota Supra is no longer being made. The only Toyota Supras that can be purchased are used models. The cheapest Supra would probably be the oldest with the highest miles in the worst condition as that is how used car prices are determined. They are being sold all over the United States. The cheapest being sold would probably be sold where the cost of living is lowest.
The prefix Supra means Above or Over.
Yes it will affect it, I've experienced this twice. The first time it snapped and the other time the end had came out of the transmission. Toyota uses an electronically controlled transmission so if it is broken or not plugged into the transmission, it will not shift out of 1st gear. Seems whenever i bought my cable it costed $80???? at Toyota.
The prefix supra means over or above. For instance, suprarenal uses this prefix.
put on ac in car and over heats
sounds liek you have covered a lot of the bases, how about a cam or crank sensor. Do you have any codes? check to make sure that your circuit opening relay and your fuel pump relays are working properly. imamorninperson
