DTV sometime needs a better antenna than the old analog TVs. A few stations did not switch to DTV and are still Analog like LPTV which is Low Power TV.

Turn the TV and the DTV receiver on and be sure you have good batteries in the remote.Using the Select button and the arrow keys around it on the DTV remote:Menu Button>Parental, Fav's and Setup>System Setup or Setup>Remote>Program Remote>(there may be 1 or 2 more screens here depending on the DTV receiver model, just continue through them)>On the Devices screen select "TV">Select your television's manufacturer>STOP on the screen with the codes across the top.1. Push the Mode switch on the remote all the way to the right to "TV". Ignore the on-screen display that says "TV Keys Aren't Programmed."2. Push and hold the Mute Button and while holding it also push and hold the Select button until the green light above the Mode switch blinks once and then blinks twice in a row.3. Enter the first 5-digit number you see on the screen into the remote's keypad. The green light will blink twice again.4. Aim the remote at the TV and use the volume paddle. If the volume works, just push the Mode switch back to the left and your done. If it doesn't, repeat steps 2-4 for each successive number.5. Write down the correct number. Be sure to push the Mode switch back to DTV before doing anything else.

with tv off....mute,1,8,2 then power on and disable hotel mode Whoever answered this is incorrect. the above code sequence is for "Samsung" not LG. For LG try this: With remote press "Menu" hold down 5 seconds then enter number sequence 1105 then press enter or ok. This should bring up a service type menu. Follow the logic of the menu and turn off the hotel mode or reset the tv.
