you need a battery charger.
If you have a computer charger (usb chord) it will charge when you connect it to your computer.

Ok so I found a Vivitar DVR 880 HD in my room. It works but I want to know if it is good at takeing pictures and video worthy
The new Vivitar DVR can be purchased at the Vivitar company itself or online at sites like Best Buy or Office Depot. You can also check these stores in your area to see what they have available.
Probably. It depends on the connections available on the camcorder and on the TV.Newer camcorders have a "mini HDMI" connector that can connect to a TV's HDMI connector, but this requires a special HDMI cable.
Our DVRs use a certain programming language. You can transfer recorded events from the receiver to an EHD (certain requirements for the EHD) but you wouldn't be able to transfer to a camcorder.
I have a Handycam video Hi8, I would like to make home movies on my computer using my camcorder video tapes. Can I do so with this camcorder?
An LCD DVR works just like any video recorder such as on a camcorder, your cellphone, or a Webcam. It basically uses the same components and can digitally enhance your television into better quality viewing experience. LCD DVR's cost from $45 to $600 depending on where you buy it. Amazon.com offers a cheaper selection.
