Hi,
Most electronics devices have a manual which states what is the allowable temperature range for operating them. Your best bet might be to visit a store and ask what range of temperatures the plasma screen can operate at.

would a regular television be damaged if stored in an unheated space?
a lot
LCD TV is better because plasma TVs use certain gas cells to produce the image and the TV can make the room feel like a furnace in just a few minutes, depending on the surroundings. LCD TVs take forever to get that hot.
It is a television that has 3D capability, and has a plasma screen.

Yes, a 42 inch Sony plasma television set might be too big for a small living room area. It might generate too much heat in the summertime, and a plasma TV needs some distance away from where you are seated to look good.
A JVC plasma is a brand of television and a plasma television does not use liquid crystal displays (which is and LCD television). Plasma televisions are thinner and provide crisper images.

Plasma TV's often have a wider viewing angle then LED tv's. LED's are often brighter and more vibrant. I would suggest a plasma for a wider and larger room. LED's for smaller rooms.
This depends on if you want to watch HD tv. OfCourse an HD plasma tv will be better than a regular plasma if your looking toward watching television in HD.
If you have an HD TV that uses plasma technology, you will get a better picture if you watch it in a dark room. The one knock on plasma TVs is that they catch a lot of glare. They will look bad if you have windows behind them without curtains. The darker the room is, the better picture you will get. This makes it worth the money that it costs to have the HD technology.
