iHome was founded in 2005 by SDT Technologies. iHome offers clock radios, alarm clocks, headphones and speakers for the iPod, iPad and iPhone.
The speakers available from iHome are small rechargeable bluetooth or mini speakers. They also stock LED colour changing mini speakers which can be used with laptops, iPhones, iPods or MP3 players.
YES! They work wonders! They are amazing high deftion speakers just for a low price
Im pretty sure that your ipod touch will work with ihome ih5 as the speakers are made for ipods they work with any type of ipod out there. If on the cover/box of the ihome ih5 says that it will only work with ipod nano ipod video etc. and ipod touch is not on there it only means that the speakers were made before the ipod touch came out and Im 100% sure that it will work with your ipod. I bought speakers for ipod (i also have an ipod touch) and the information on the box didn't include ipod touch as the electronic that the speakers will work with but my ipod works perfectly with the speakers and I have no problems with it.
An iHome speaker is a better brand to get. Generic speakers will be hit or miss but name brand is almost always the better pick for quality and longevity.
There are many reliable brands for wireless speakers. Some of them are: Bose, Sonos, Rocketfish, Beats, Samsung, Jabra, iHome, Logitech, Jawbone, and JBL.
An iHome is a docking station for an iPod or an iPhone. It has a clock and speakers and you can insert your device into the station. This will allow your device to charge and serve as an alarm clock. The music for the alarm can be pre-set from your phone or iPod or you can use the iHome as a radio to hear the music on your device. It is a great item to have in your home that allows you to listen to the music stored on your iPod or iPhone.
I have a smaller iHome and on the back there should be an on-of switch. You know your iHome is on if there is a red light glowing on the front of your iHome.
Some generally reliable and affordable brands include: Samsung, GigaWorks, Panasonic, Sony, and Bose. Depending on what size and quality speakers you are looking for, speakers can cost anywhere from $70 (smaller, IPhone/IHome-like speakers with poorer quality) to $500 (larger speakers that will provide a louder sound).
Yes, the iHome does charge the iPod.
