∙ 13y agoWhen an inflated but untied balloon is released, the air inside the balloon pushes against the walls of the balloon, propelling it forward. This creates a force that causes the balloon to move in the opposite direction. The unbalanced forces result in the balloon flying across the room.
An untied inflated balloon flies because the air inside the balloon is less dense than the air outside, creating a lift force. As the balloon rises, the air pressure decreases, causing the balloon to expand further and increase in volume. This expansion of the balloon allows it to continue rising until the forces of gravity and air resistance balance out.
Rocket propulsion is caused by the principle of Newton’s third law of motion - for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Rockets work by expelling a high-speed jet of exhaust gases in one direction, which propels the rocket in the opposite direction. This reaction force propels the rocket forward through space.
The Skylab Space Station was the Untied States first space station, and was operated and launched by NASA in 1973. The Skylab Space Station stayed in Earth's orbit from 1973 to 1979.
The US achieved several significant accomplishments during the space race, including landing the first humans on the moon with the Apollo 11 mission in 1969, launching the first successful communications satellite, Telstar, in 1962, and establishing the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) in 1958 to oversee space exploration efforts. Additionally, the US made advancements in rocket technology, satellite communication, and space exploration that laid the foundation for future scientific discoveries and space missions.
Helium is less dense than air, so when an untied balloon filled with helium is released, it will typically rise upwards due to its buoyancy. The path it takes will depend on factors like air currents and wind conditions, but in general, helium-filled balloons tend to rise and float rather than move erratically like an oxygen-filled balloon.

Yes, the family of the Colorado 6-year-old who untied his father's aircraft was on ABC's Wife Swap.Although it was feared he had taken off in the balloon and later fallen out, he was later found hiding in his family's attic.
A spaceship can travel in a vacuum because it produces thrust. The thrust going on the back the the craft actually pushes on the front of the craft (much like a balloon does when you release the untied end. Since it is in a vacuum, there is no friction to slow the craft down once it is moving.

Because I untied it
If you release a balloon from the string, it will float upwards due to the helium or air inside it being lighter than the surrounding air. Eventually, the balloon will reach a point where it is in balance with the surrounding air pressure and stop rising, then it will float in the air until it loses its buoyancy and falls back to the ground.
"United" is a anagram for untied.
