Anything that orbits a planet is called a satellite. There are 2 types: artificial (the ones we make take the old Sputnik for example) and natural (the Moon)

Why do you call the system of a planet the solar system?

because everything orbits around the sun

What do you call the third path of a planet around the Sun or a satellite around a planet?

The third path of an object orbiting another is known as a heliocentric orbit around the Sun or a geocentric orbit around the Earth. It follows an elliptical trajectory, with the object moving in a curved path due to the gravitational pull of the larger body it orbits.

What do you call an object that travels around a planet?

A moon or satellite.

What do planets revolve around?

Planets orbit stars. Our planet (earth) orbits a star we call the sun.

What do you call a satellite of a star which orbits around it spinning on its own axis?

Earth. Or in another word, a planet.

What do you call a body in the solar system that is not a star or a planet?

It depends on what the object is. If it orbits a planet, then it is a moon. If it orbits the sun and is made of rock and/or metal then it is an asteroid or meteoroid depending on its size. If it is primarily made of ice then it is a comet. Dwarf planets are planet-like objects that do not meet all the criteria of a planet.

What do you call a planet and a star orbit?

A planet that orbits a star is called an exoplanet.

What is the name of the star that the planet travel around?

The star that a planet travels around is called its parent star or host star. The parent star provides the gravitational force that keeps the planet in orbit around it. Similarly, our planet Earth orbits around the star we call the Sun.

What do you call chunks of rock and ice that orbit around a planet?

Asteroids. Most asteroids lie between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter.

What do you call a small planet that goes around a larger one?

It would be called a moon or, more formally, a natural satellite. In such a case, though it would not be considered a planet as it orbits a planet rather than a star.
