What kind of rocket? They all produce thrust. If you're considering the physics, that's an output. Or are you concerned about the chemistry? Depending on the type of fuel, and the method of ignition there will be exhaust gasses, and particulates. A nuclear rocket may also produce radiation in the exhaust. If you are talking about the typical rockets that are fired into earth orbit, you are still considering solid fuel rockets and liquid fuel rockets, and the chemistry of their exhaust is different.
