You idiot.  Mesosphere is actually the coldest layer of the atmosphere.  In this layer, temperature decreases with height and temperature falls from 0 degree at Stratopause to -100 degree Celsius at at the Mesopause i.e. at a height of 80 km.

The hottest layer in the atmosphere is the thermosphere. Temperatures in the thermosphere can reach over 2000 degrees Celsius due to its exposure to intense solar radiation. However, despite this high temperature, the thermosphere would feel very cold to a person on the Earth's surface due to its extremely low density.

The thermosphere is the hottest layer in Earth's atmosphere. The thermosphere extends from around 56 to 621 miles above the planet. There, temperatures stay at between 360 and 900 degrees.

Which is the hottest layer of the Suns atmosphere?

The corona is.

What layer of the suns atmosphere is the hottest?

Hottest Layer of the Suns Atmospere. The core is the hottest layer of the sun. Its temperature is nearly 15 million degrees F.The reason that the core is the hottest is due to the gravitational pressure. This being said, there are individual spots in the corona of the sun which from time to time is known to be hotter than the core. The corona is an outer atmosphere of the sun (if you see a picture of a solar eclipse, the corona is typically the edge of the sun not covered by the earth).

Why is the thermosphere the hottest layer of the earth's atmosphere?

The thermosphere is the hottest layer of the Earth's atmosphere because it absorbs high-energy solar radiation, particularly ultraviolet and X-ray radiation. Despite the high temperatures, the air molecules in the thermosphere are so spread out that they cannot transfer their heat effectively, leading to the perception of extreme heat without much actual warmth.

Can you generalize that the higher the layer of the atmosphere that is closer to the sun the hotter the temperature?

Not on your life. The highest layers of the atmosphere are the coldest, and the hottest season in the US occurs at the time when the Earth is farthest away from the sun.

What is the hotest layer in the atmosphere?

The hottest layer in the atmosphere is the thermosphere, which can reach temperatures of up to 2,500 degrees Celsius (4,500 degrees Fahrenheit). Temperatures in the thermosphere increase with altitude due to the absorption of high-energy solar radiation.

Which layer in earths atmosphere is hottest?

The thermosphere is the hottest layer in Earth's atmosphere, reaching temperatures as high as 2,500 degrees Celsius. It is located above the mesosphere and is where the International Space Station orbits.

What is the hot outermost layer of air?

The hottest outer area of the Earth's atmosphere is called the Thermosphere.

Is The crust is the hottest layer of the Earth?

No, the crust is not the hottest layer of the Earth. The inner core is actually the hottest layer, with temperatures reaching up to 9,000 degrees Fahrenheit.

Why is the coldest layer of the atmosphere next to the hottest layer of the atmosphere?

The coldest layer of the atmosphere, the mesosphere, is located above the hottest layer, the thermosphere, because it is further away from the heat source of the Sun. The mesosphere is where temperatures decrease with altitude, while the thermosphere experiences higher temperatures due to absorption of solar radiation.

What 2 layers of the atmosphere are hottest?

The thermosphere and exosphere are the two layers of the atmosphere that are the hottest. Temperatures in the thermosphere can reach up to 2,500 degrees Celsius due to absorption of solar radiation, while the exosphere can reach even higher temperatures because of the low density of gases present.

What is the inermost layer of the suns atmosphere?

It's the core, which is also the hottest part of the sun. It is responsible forgiving off light and heat energy.
