∙ 10y agoThe footprint looks that way due to moisture being in the soil. Go to Google images), take a look at the so-called first footprint on the moon in one of the high resolution photos. You will see the parts of the sand that the groves of the sole of the shoes made, have cracked-like separations due to slight movement on removal of the shoe/boot. Dry sand is not capable of that. If it were dry sand, it would collapse in thos areas of separation (as usual when you try to do anything with dry sand). As you can see this doesn't happen, the separations maintain their form which indicates water in the soil. Try building a sand castle with dry sand vs wet sand, and tell me which were you successful with. And don't let anybody try and tell you that it's the same as flour because flour has moisture in it. I'll leave the choice of believing whether we went to the moon or not up to you.

∙ 10y agoThe lack of atmosphere on the moon means there is no wind or erosion to disturb the surface. The footprints made by astronauts remain preserved over time due to the absence of weathering processes. Additionally, the fine lunar dust acts as a natural "soil" that retains the shape of footprints pressed into it.
Footprints are on the moon because astronauts from the Apollo missions walked on its surface. The moon's lack of atmosphere and wind means that footprints can last for a long time without being erased.
No, footprints on the moon are not possible because there is no atmosphere on the moon to preserve them. Without an atmosphere, there is no wind or weather to erode or cover the footprints, so they would remain preserved indefinitely on the lunar surface.
That's correct! Footprints left on the moon by astronauts will remain there for a very long time due to the lack of atmosphere, wind, and water to erode or disturb them. This means that these footprints could potentially last for millions of years.
Yes, the astronauts' footprints are likely still on the Moon since there is no atmosphere or weather to erode them. However, due to the lack of atmosphere, there is also no wind or water on the Moon to completely preserve the footprints, so they may have been slightly distorted by micro-meteoroid impacts over time.
Footprints on the moon can last for millions of years due to the absence of wind, water, and other environmental factors. Without these forces to erode or disturb the surface, the footprints would remain preserved in the moon's regolith (soil) for an incredibly long time.

Oh yes the footprints left on the moon by the astronauts , will remain there for years or centuries. The reason is that there is no wind on the moon surface. So there is no chance of dust covering those footprints.

In 7,000 years
The Moon has no wind, no water, and almost no moon quakes (earthquakes on the moon). There is almost nothing to cause the footprints to go away. Unless they are hit by a meteor, comet, or asteroid.
before it said There is no gravity on the Moon, so it is very easy to make footprints well that ain't right, the reason is because the sand up on the moon is more pointier then the sand on earth so it stays together
Because there is no wind or other weather on the moon, and so there is nothing to weather the footprints. Barring a meteor strike or something like that, or tourists (!), they will stay there forever.
There is no air or atmosphere on the moon, so there is no wind. The lack of atmosphere means that there are no weather patterns like we experience on Earth.
No there is virtually no atmosphere so that means no moisture so no clouds
No, the moon is not humid. The moon has no atmosphere to hold moisture, so there is no water or humidity present on its surface.
