not quite sure what you meant, but Magic Eye is an obsolete term for a type of phototube, a radio tube with a test pattern printed on it, when the frequency reaches the right level- it shows a figure something like a Maltese Cross (naturally the German Magic Eye tubes went for this figure!) there are or were different types- the indicating head, having no moving parts, indicates by shadows. a four-quadrant test pattern like those on TV was the usual standard. a Magic Lantern is an obsolete term that was on the way out in the nineties, for what we now call a slide projector, early models used live flame ( kerosene lanterns) for light and posed numerous fire hazards. Magic eye tubes were made by RCA, GE and as mentioned, German firms such as Telefunken. they have some nostalgia value to radio hobbyists, but are nor longer made. LED light emitting diodes have to some degree replaced them for visual displays on radio panels.( volume levels, etc).
Magic eye pictures create the illusion of depth perception by using stereograms, which are two-dimensional images that visually appear as three-dimensional objects. The 3D effect is achieved by presenting slightly different images to each eye, tricking the brain into perceiving depth when the images are properly aligned and focused. Viewer can see the hidden 3D image by relaxing their eyes and letting them diverge slightly.
