The mesosphere is the layer of the Earth's atmosphere located above the stratosphere and below the thermosphere. Temperatures in the mesosphere decrease with altitude, reaching their lowest point around -90 degrees Celsius. It is also where meteors burn up upon entering the atmosphere due to friction with gas molecules.

The mesosphere is a very cold layer of the Earth's atmosphere. Also, shooting stars are seen in the mesosphere. The third layer of the atmosphere, the mesosphere, is a very interesting layer and has many facts.

It starts from 50 km above and ends 85 km above. The temp. over there goes till -90 Celsius. The nightglow is emitted from this lays, thats why it is never completely dark due to its sodium layer near mesopause. It is not easy to study weather here due to differences in temp.
