Most likely the master clutch cylinder, its located in the engine bay on the fire wall, the seals tend to become worn and you loose pressure, a new one should cost around £35 and can be fit DIY taking only an hour or so, it's drained and bled the same way as your brakes are. A garage should only charge parts and 1 hours labour.

The neutral safety switch or (clutch safety switch) is above the clutch pedal near the fire wall. It is a small black (on my Subaru Impreza) button that is about half way between the pedal and where the clutch arm is attached.
its a foot rest, for when you're not using the clutch. lots of cars have them
I had the same problem in my 1995, i took it to the dealer and they fixed it. I think it was a very simple fix, but it was many years ago.
look under the dash at the top of your clutch pedal ;)
If it has a hydraulic clutch, I believe they can not be adjusted. When the pedal travel is no longer acceptable the clutch disc must be replaced.
Clutch plates are sticking - get your clutch checked you might need a new one
you need to change the spring in the clutch cylinder ,you find more info on at alfa .net
A few things occure to me. Something's wrong with your clutch's hydraulic system. Out/low on fluid and needs to be bled. Possible bad slave cylinder or clutch master cylinder. Possible it just needs to be adjusted but most hydraulic clutches don't adjust so you'll have to check that out. Your clutch has gone out and needs to be replacesd.
The clutch pedal cannot be adjusted
a throw out bearing is conected to ta fork sticking out of your bell housing which is conected to your clutch ,when u engage the clutch the thowout moves the the clutch away or towards the pressure plate and flywheel depending on if you press or depress the pedal
The clutch pedal.
To adjust the clutch pedal height in the Peugeot 307 locate the adjuster bolt on the floor under the clutch pedal. Loosen the bolt and pull out the pedal to the proper height then tighten the bolt. To make the clutch pedal lower for the operator simply push in on the clutch pedal while the adjuster bolt is loose, then tighten the bolt.
