A flashing CEL means a serious problem, not just a warning. Get it read asap. You might not even want to drive it there.
Its located on the drivers side of the transaxle.
Above the gas pedal, under the dash, there is 2 wires with clips that you plug together. Check engine light will flash the codes recorded in the ecu.

You read the trouble codes on the dsahboard "engine check" light. To get the codes out you connect two black, single wire connectors under the dash near the steering column while the ignition is turned off, then turn the key on and the light should flash a code. I have a 1997 GT, and it is located on my transmission near the arm.
I would bring it in, because you can never be sure

Probably a faulty on-off switch in the door jamb, or a misaligned door which fails to close the connection.
