This applies to a 2003 Mazda Protege: It depends on what type of engine you have.
For the 1.6L engine, the oil dipstick is the front-passenger side area, close to the Power Steering reservoir.
For the 2.0L engine, the dipstick is on the same side but towards the back, close to the wheel.
yes all cars do .
The 2003 Mazda Protege holds 3.7 quarts of oil approximately. Add a little less, then check with the dipstick to avoid over filling.
AUTO - There is a dipstick. Looks like a oil stick. Manual - There is a check plug in the side of the tranny
Could you tell me how would you replace the oil pump on a Mazda Protege?
It is the center to the right of the engine...
It goes through the dipstick..
IF ITS A 1.8, THEN ITS NEXT TO THE TIMING COVER
As you arefacing the engine compartment with the hood up, on the left side you will see a yellow handle down by the belts. This is the oil dipstick.
A 2001 Mazda Protege uses standard 10w-30 motor oil. This provides a good balance of viscosity and protection for the engine.
For my Mazda I use 10w-30
Oil Pan.
