The drier is on the drivers side directly behind the headlight. The expansion valve is located behind the glove box inside of the evaporator case.
Should be the larger hose from the compressor--port maybe by the drier near firewall on passenger side
Between the receiver-drier outlet and the evaporator inlet.
Ensures that only liquid refrigerant continues on to the Thermal Expansion Valve.
Keep it in a drier area. It depends on the seed, but a heated, climate-controlled location is best.
The AC receiver drier on a 1995 Honda Civic is on the high-pressure side of the system. It is between the expansion valve inlet and condenser outlet.
COMPRESSOR, CONDENSER,EVAPORATOR, ORIFICE TUBE, THERMAL EXPANSION VALVE , RECEIVER-DRIER,ACCUMULATOR.
If it's a TXV system, it'll be located between the receiver-drier and the evaporator.
Should be on the receiver/drier.
If you did not replace the expansion block valve and the receiver drier then you will need to do this as well..............
Look on top of the drier probably at the passenger side firewall
Follow the larger hose from the air compressor - maybe be by the drier at the passenger side firewall
The expansion valve is located with the evaporator. You have to evacuate the system then disconnect the ac lines at the firewall. Then remove the glove box, undo connectors, and then remove the bolts that hold the evaporator case to the HVAC assembly. Slide the case out and then remove the clips and screws that hold the upper and lower halves together. Once you get it apart you will see the expansion valve. Also, take note of the electrical temperature probe's location in the evaporator. When you replace the valve and wind the thermostatic bulb's line around the evaporator's pipe take some black tar tape and wrap the expansion valve and lowside pipe. Doing that will make it more efficient. You should also replace the receiver drier if you hadn't already done so. Don't forget that you will have to add some oil to the system for the components you replace.
