Under the dash, on the passangers side.
Open the glove box door. Now squeeze the glove box door sides and remove the door. You will see the blower motor. Remove the screws and presto the motor is easily removed.Enjoy JCHow do you access the blower fan resistor?
This relates to your question but does not answer it. Call Toyota's 800 number and register a complaint about the premature death of your blower motor. It appears to be quite common with all the Toyota Echos. Enough complaints and they may start reimbursing people for this common failure.
$30 for heat/air conditioning blower motor. $50 for radiator motor. Double those prices and add labor charge if you are having someone else do it for you.
Yes, bad blower motor but could be just a bad resistor (blown fuse). Maybe both need to be replaced. You can test the motor by jumping it.
yes
Same thing happened to my car. The blower motor and the resistor had to be replaced. It cost me . The dealer actually had the parts in stock because it happened frequently enough with the Echo that he wanted the parts on hand. If it is your problem, you may be lucky enough to find a rebuilt blower motor.
You have to remove the ECU first. Unplug the 4 plugs, remove the 2 screws and then take the ECU out. The blower motor resistor is mounted on the underneath towards the back firewall. You can get to it once you remove the ECU.
hi i have smal question, how to change thermostat in Toyota echo 2000 thanks
If the AC stopped blowing air on your 2003 Toyota Echo, the blower fuse could be to blame. If the fuse is fine, it might be the blower resistor that needs to be replaced.
