On a 1999 Mazda B3000, the PCV valve is in one of two places, depending on the engine. On SOHC 4-cylinder engines, the PCV valve is mounted on the oil separator on the left side of the engine. On DOHC 4-cylinder engines, the valve is behind the coolant bypass hose..
At the back of the engine compartment, on the driver's side, you will see an elbow pipe. It has a short connector hose that fits directly onto the PCV Valve nipple.
if it is the ford engine, it will be found on the driver side valve cover, visible just past the vacuum brake booster.
If that S10 has the 2.2 L engine, it doesn't have a serviceable PCV valve.

The PCV valve on SOHC 4-cylinder engines is mounted in the oil separator on the left side of the engine; on DOHC 4-cylinder engines, remove the driver's side inner fender splash shield to access the PCV valve; the valve is just behind the coolant bypass hose near the hose clip. - Haynes Repair Manual #36071, 1994-2005 Mazda B2300, B2500, B3000, B4000.
