it is not connected to a "switch," but a relay instead....it should be grounded to the core support next to the fan.....you may need to remove the passenger side headlight to get to it.....there is normally 1 or 2 wires coming from it....12V and switch signal from ECU (0V = off and 5V = on). To test the fan: disconnect the relay and connect directly to battery. To test relay: use external battery source like 3 AA in series. If you have no clue what I am talking about, then do not attempt this and seek professional help.

i just had this problem you have to either change the fan relay switch or the sensor because they could be old so they ar not telling the fans to react to when the car is getting hot. but i changed mines and they come on now

Blown fuse, bad fan motor, defective thermal switch or a bad fan relay. Or check the coolant temp sensor.
On engine block by the oil filter. Two wires land on temperature swicth, can jump out switch to see if fan comes on. The switch has a black rubber boot protecting it. Also check cooling fan by wiring battery right to fan to see if fan works. Air in system will also cause problems with fan coming on bleed air out bleeder by top radiator hose on tp of motor.
