the coil resistor is a ceramic block on the top of your coil, you just remove the wires attach to it, put some grease on the bolts(on the new one) that attach the wires, and put it back together, to see if your resistor is faulty, just run a wire from 1 pole to the other, make sure you have a good contact.
There are a few steps: The easiest will be to try using the coil from another vehicle preferably one from a car with te same engine size ( DONT WORRY THE BORROWED COIL WONT DAMAGE). Also try changing out the wires between the coil & distributor. Lastly check the wires that should deliver power to the coil. Hope this helps ;-)
start with checking the coil packs wires sparkplugs
coil---3---4 pack--2---6 plug---1---5
Follow the spark plug wires to the rear of the engine and you will find the coil packs.
Your plugs are bad, you coil is out or you have bad plug wires. If all spark plug wires are not firing then it is the coil or a fuse in the fuse box labeled ign hope this helps B
ANSWERWhat do you need to know about the coil ignition wires? we can't help unless we know what the problem is lol be just a little more specific
try to get a new ignition rotor
Basicaly you hook up the wires as such. The two middle cylinders will share a coil and the two outside cylinders will share the other coil. It really doesen't matter what teminal the wires attach as long as they are hooked up like this.
if u are runing i hot or one of he wires have a cut and its touching metal
Follow the wires from the spark plugs and they will go to the distributor unless the engine does not have one and has a coil pack.
