on a 2000 echo, which should be very similar, their is a cover on top of the motor, held down by 4 nuts, remove those and the cover. Underneath you will see 4 large plastic pieces in a row on top off the motor with a series of wires connected to each, towards the fire wall on these 4 pieces is a single bolt, remove the bolt pull up on the pice and under neath you will find the spark plugs, remember only work on 1 at a time as not to mix up the firing order.
Remove the old plugs, install new plugs.
