According to Honda's website, 2006 was the first year that all the standard Honda Civic's (CE LX DX etc) had timing CHAINS, so you do not need to change it out. The Honda SIs have always had timing chains.
The 2006 Honda Civic does not have a timing belt, it uses a chain that should last the life of the engine.
The 2007 civic has a timing CHAIN. Honda SIs had timing CHAINS from the very first model (2002) and the other standard Civic models had timing chains starting in 2006. So no need to replace it.

Unless Honda has made a change it has a belt. Open you owner's manual and look in the scheduled maintence section. There you will find your answer.
All Honda 4 cylinders from 2003 and up have a timing chain except the 2004 & 2005 Honda Civic which has a belt. 2006 and up Civic has a chain.

The Accord changed from a belt to chain in 2003. The Civic changed from belt to chain in 2006. Prior to that they all had belts.
