No spark No fuel No compression
Check the ECTS. Check for spark. No spark equals bad CPS
A faulty crank sensor would cause no spark and no fuel.
It can be piston rings, when it gets old cars usually loose efficiency. Also check spark plug gaps, sometimes not proper gaps cause such problems.

Your intake manifold probably has a crack in the water jacket.
Check for spark at the plugs. Check for fuel to the engine.
