Depends what symbol is on it. Could be Glow plugs or no fuel in tank light
i think it is the engine coolant level it's windshield washer level, if on just add water.
That's the check engine light..... try hooking your car up to a scanner to see exactly what the problem is... you may have to take it to a mechanic shop.

In my 2004 GMC Canyon, the ambient light sensor is mounted at the right side of the dashboard. It is mounted below the dashboard and has a lens on the surface so that it can measure the ambient light that reaches the sensor through the windshield.
The oil warning light is a red light on the right of the dash.The orange light on the left of the dash is the 'CODE' light. This comes on when you first turn on the ignition to show that the car is checking the immobilizer code from the key. The light should then go off once the code is ok'ed by the car''s ECU.

If it is a small, red flashing light in the upper right area of the dash panel, it is the light indicating that the anti-theft system is armed.
The brake fluid reservoir is probably low on fluid. It has a float in it which senses low level of fluid and turns on the light on your dashboard. If that is all right the proportioning valve in the master cylinder needs to be centered.
