The KDSS system, from my understanding, helps the vehicle corner and remain stable in various operating conditions. It utilises sway bars which are able to be hydraulically adjusted and also more or less disconnected in severe off road conditions. For example, if you were cornering at speed, the KDSS computer system would stiffen up the front and rear sway bars to reduce body roll. On the other hand, if you were off-road and you required the suspension to move almost independently at each corner, then the KDSS system would disengage the hydraulic link in the sway bars and you would then have a more agile vehicle off road.
