Depends on what you're driving. Most cars have gas shocks and some have air shocks. Air shocks are more comfortable, with an automatic leveller, as in Lincoln Continental, in my opinion.
They are a working suspension system and smooth the ride of the vehicle
An air ride is a smooth ride in a vehicle resulting from an active pneumatic suspension system, rather than springs or a hydraulic system.
there is not one a torsion bar suspension is a cheap lift. i have one on my truck and i am currently looking into a suspension lift for mine. i suggest you do the same.
The Buick Park Avenue line is known for its smooth ride. The suspension is an air ride, giving a soft floating feel.
The suspension system has 2 main functions. First and most important is to keep the tires in contact with the road. Second is to provide a comfortable and smooth ride for the passengers.
Air bag suspension has a number of applications in different vehicles. In public transportation buses, they are used to lower the vehicle closer to the curb to make entry easier. In custom cars, they are used to lower the vehicle or provide stable handling. Overall, air bag suspension provides a smooth ride for any vehicle and it can provide self-levelling to enhance stability and comfort.
The Z71 package is an off road suspension vehicle , it ride's stiffer than 2WD models, but it is still a good ride.
The "C" is for comfort, this adjust the ride for a more comfortable and smooth acceleration and deceleration, smoother turning, etc.The "S" is for standard ride.
bells andwhistles. comfort. leather heated seats, convenient everything and a smooth ride.
You have the air lines, which can get leaks and holes. Also, the dryers and compressors can give out if the system has leaks. Also, the air bags, solenoids, relays, all of these components make up the air suspension in a vehicle. Although people love the smooth ride an air system provides, once these fail it's no longer a smooth ride but a big headache. Suspension solution..... conversion kit. These take the air components out but don't compromise the air ride feel.
Some advantages of a trailing arm suspension include that it offers a more smooth ride and/or landing in an airplane and it also is a shock absorber. A disadvantage is that it is more complicated to maintain or repair.
Yes you can, But a suspension lift will mess up your ride, It will not ride or drive as good as it does now.A body lift will no alter the suspension or change the way it handles.Body lift is the best way to go.
