5 quarts of oil
You should put 3 quarts of oil in your 1986 300zx Turbo and then let it run for 30 seconds. After that, check the oil level and fill it until the oil on the dipstick is level with the H.

right by the oil pan, look for it, its not very hard.
Valvoline 10w-30 ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ One of the best oils you put into a 300ZX is Mobile1 is 0w-30. This is exactly what the Z needs the most. We need a thin oil that can sustain together without burning at high heats. But if money is not an issue the best oil you can possible put in the 300ZX is either Greddy Oil 0w-50 or Eneos Oil 0w-50. Just to make things easy on everyone. The lower the first number, the better. The higher the second number, the better. Always get low then high. Nissan suggest 10w-30 on these engines, but that really just isn't enough to protect and help the engine from being more efficient. For more info or details email me at Dream300ZX@gmail.com

Basically it's inside the oil pan at the front of the car, by the crankshaft sprocket. It is driven by the crankshaft.
